Footwear Meant for Children

Anyone that has children is aware of the benefit of keeping their kids feet dry and warm. Children have a tendency to ignore particular warning indicators such as wet feet when they are preoccupied with various other activities while outdoors. Therefore, it’s crucial to have something warm for their feet that could be trusted. A few days ago, my child came in out from the snow after a few hours of play, I took his boots off and discovered that one of the socks was totally soaked in addition to freezing cold.

When I asked him why he did not come in and let me know that his foot was freezing cold, he explained to me that he had been in the middle of crafting a snow fort and didn’t want to stop. Being a little one once myself I have an understanding of exactly what he meant and couldn’t blame him, while my mom made us kids wear bread bags over our feet on the inside of our shoes or boots to keep them waterproof, and this would work, but there has to be a much better approach. I generally buy a couple of bargain boots off of the clearance rack at our local “all in one” store, yet they simply don’t seem to last. This seems like the best choice because he will grow out of the shoe by the next year anyway.

But having worn a pair of Muck Boots myself and understanding how well these are manufactured and just how comfortable these are, I decided to buy the kid’s Muck Boots for him this season, even if I need to buy a new pair every year, I just now feel much better knowing that he’s got the appropriate boots on his feet. He won’t let me know when his feet are usually cold, even though he should, that way, at least, he doesn’t have to, I am aware his feet will likely be fine. Maybe some day my son will take his own kid’s boots off of their feet and realize how uncomfortable that should’ve been for him when he was a kid.
